It’s that special time again that only comes around twice a year. No, it’s not a holiday although some foodies may wish it was. DC Restaurant week is here for its summer spectacular, allowing those of us living on a budget to experience delicious gourmet meals throughout the District.
DC Restaurant Week (http://washington.org/restaurantwk/) includes over 200 restaurants in the DC metropolitan area offering multiple course meals for lunch and dinner at well below their usual costs. Lunch runs at $20.10 for a three course meal, and dinner is $35.10. For those who love fantastic food but can’t always afford it, this is the week for you.
Restaurant week goes from August 16th to the 22nd this summer. Reservations are needed for all participating restaurants and can be made at http://www.opentable.com/. The more well-known restaurants are usually booked up to a month ahead of Restaurant Week.
Additionally, many of the restaurants participating in summer Restaurant Week extend their specials for an extra week. By simply calling many of the restaurants listed on the website you may be able to get into that special location the following week for the same prices.
If you can’t get a reservation to Restaurant Week this summer, never fear. DC Restaurant Week is bi-annual and will be back in January!
