With recruitment season underway at TFAS, we are traveling the country looking for students interested in coming to DC to LIVE. LEARN. INTERN. for a semester or summer. Here are just a few of the conferences and career fairs we’ll be attending in the coming months.
Kansas City, MO: The Director of Recruitment and Admissions, Mary Connell, and our Special Programs Assistant, Kristen Wright, will be heading to the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in Kansas City from October 20 – 24. Honors program students attending the conference should be sure to stop by and learn more about TFAS programs.
Washington, DC: Public Relations Student Society of America members attending the national conference in Washington next week should be sure to visit our table at the Career Development Exhibition. Institute on Political Journalism Director, Joe Starrs, will be there to answer questions about communications and PR internships available in DC.
New York City: We’re heading up to the Big Apple on October 23 for a regional Students for Liberty conference. If you’re attending and want to learn more about DC internships, keep an eye out for us.
Louisville, KY: From October 27 – 29 our Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator Dana Faught and Assistant Elizabeth Matecki will be exhibiting at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisors Conference in Louisville. They hope to connect with many college journalists and editors from around the country during the conference!
North Carolina: Haley Heieck, the Coordinator of the ICPES program, will be traveling during the first week of November through NC, visiting schools ranging from Raleigh to Winston-Salem. If you are a North Carolina college student and are interested in learning more about TFAS programs, send us an email and we’ll give you further details on the trip!
Philadelphia, PA: Haley’s next trip will be to Philly to participate in the Summer & Opportunities Fair at the University of Pennsylvania Model UN Conference on November 12. This will be a great opportunity for us to connect with international affairs majors from around the world.
Orlando, FL: Emily Hill, the Manager of the Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service, will be in Orlando for the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Management/Leadership Institute from January 3-6. This is always a great place to recruit students interested in service and exploring careers within the nonprofit sector!
Charlottesville, VA: Director of Recruitment and Admissions Mary Connell will be back on the road on February 2, 2011 for the University of Virginia Career Fair.
Lehigh Valley, PA: On February 16, 2011 we will be participating in the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Career Expo. Students from 12 colleges and universities in the greater Lehigh Valley and Berks County area will be there seeking internship and job opportunities.
