As the GOP field is coming into focus, one thing is clear: the Presidential Campaign of 2012 will be exciting and the campaign trail will be filled with action that will keep political junkies awake for most of the year.
To kick off the campaign season, the Institute on Political Journalism is hosting a conference for young journalists. “Journalism, Politics & the Presidential Campaign of 2012” will feature top journalists from Washington, DC as well as those from outside the area.
This is a great opportunity for journalism students and interns in Washington for the semester, to be put face to face with some of the best journalists in the country. Attendees will learn new ways to hone their journalism skills, visit the Newseum, attend a live broadcast of NBC’s Meet the Press, and connect with fellow aspiring journalists from around the country.
For full details on the conference line-up, please visit www.DCinternships.org/IPJConf.asp. Register by October 14 to receive the discounted registration rate! Any questions about the conference may be directed to Joe Starrs, IPJ Director, at email@example.com or 202.986.0384.
