As I am sure you know, the nation’s capital is overflowing with cultural experiences, networking events, and excellent dining options; however, another scene worth exploring is that of DC music. The musical offerings in this city are top notch, and taking advantage of these concerts and performances is a great way to spice up your weekly activities. Below are highlights on various popular venues.
9:30 Club, 815 V Street NW– This location features local, national, and international talent. It also gives customer the option of enjoying multiple bars and a large dance floor.
U Street Music Hall, 1115 U Street NW– This live music and dance club opened its doors in 2010 and is a very popular spot to catch shows as the pass through DC. The club is equipped with two full bars and a dance floor that is rarely empty.
Bohemian Caverns, 2001 11th Street NW– The largest jazz club in DC, this venue has played host to some of the genre’s most popular legends. It is a great place to visit both during the week and on the weekend to satisfy your jazz cravings.
The Howard Theatre, 620 T Street NW– This historic theater re-opened in April 2012 after a great deal of renovations. The theatre now features live musical performances and a full menu of American cuisine with classic soul influences.
